Recruitment tech fair 2026

Europe and recruitment tech lag behind in global ‘work tech’ investments in Q1 2026

Recruitment technology continues to show a stubborn pattern: plenty of innovation, but limited investor confidence. This is once again evident from the latest WorkTech figures from analyst George LaRocque for the first quarter of 2026. Worldwide, only 215 million dollars went to talent acquisition technology, out of a total of 1.9 billion dollars across 58 deals.

The global investment in work technology amounted to a total of 1.9 billion dollars in the first quarter of 2026, spread over 58 deals. This is evident from the latest figures from WorkTech, the research agency of analyst George LaRocque. Compared to Q1 2025, this is an increase of 54%. Five mega deals accounted for 68% of the total capital. The remaining 53 transactions generated a total of 608 million dollars, averaging 11.5 million per deal.

HCM (Human Capital Management) attracted 1.52 billion dollars over 32 deals: according to WorkTech, nearly 80 percent of the total. The five largest transactions of the quarter were all HCM-related: Vensure Employer Solutions raised 450 million dollars through debt financing, Vestwell closed a Series E of 385 million, DailyPay followed with 195 million, Preply with 150 million, and Garner Health with 118 million.
